Waec Result is Out, Breakdown of the 2020 WAEC Result

 


The West African Examination Council released its result today for year 2020 exam. There is a considerably better result compared to previous year, despite the fact that covid-19 interrupted the normal school session before the comment of the exam.

Mr. Patrick Areghan (the council's national head) analysed the results in Lagos today. 1,456,727 which is 94.69% results have been released.

Some results have been withheld due to examination malpractice. Results under this category are 215,149 which is 13.98% of all participants. 

1,338,348 which is 86.99% got credit and above in a minimum 5 subjects (with or without Mathematics or/and English language.



He explained that 1,003,668 candidates which is equivalent to 65.34% of the total number of participants, got credits and above in 5 subjects or more, including English language and Mathematics.

However, for 81,718 candidates which is 5.31%, some of their results are still being processed due to errors that emanated from the candidates.

Mr Areghan consoled those whose results are not fully out and stated as a matter of fact that: "Efforts are, however, being made to speedily complete the processing to enable all the affected candidates to get their results fully processed and released, subsequently".
